What is the difference between Packing Service and Moving Service?

Determining what is packing vs. moving services is important to figure out your moving estimate.
  • A packing service is when movers come (at least two days before moving day) and pack your items snug and secure into moving boxes.
  • A moving service is when movers professionally load your boxes, appliances, etc on/off of the moving truck.

What Is Double Drive Time?

Double Drive-Time is a CA state regulated fee.  The Drive-Time from Superior Movers Yard to Your Starting Location and The Drive-Time from Your Final Drop-Off Location back to Superior Movers Yard is added to your Moving Time. This is to cover the expenses for your movers to drive to Your Location and back to Superior Movers Yard.

For Example: If it takes 15 minutes to drive from Superior Movers Yard to Your Starting Location and 15 minutes to drive back to Superior Movers Yard, then 30 minutes is added to your Moving Time.

What Is Valuation Insurance Coverage?

This is often called limited liability and the minimum coverage required by law for our moving company in San Diego. It is included in the hourly rate and does not cost you any extra money. This minimal amount of liability must be provided to any consumer when transporting goods. Loss or damage claims are settled based on the weight of the article or furniture multiplied by 60 cents. For example: if you have a 100 pound dresser and it got damaged in transit, you would be entitled to a total of $60.
